IONITY shuts down part of its network in response to urgent recommendation regarding potential safety issue with high power charging cables
Munich (January 26) - Responding to an urgent recommendation by HUBER+SUHNER, a supplier of high-power-charging cable technology, IONITY has immediately shut down a number of its highpowered chargers (up to 350kW) in its network in order to investigate a potential safety issue concerning its liquid-cooled cables. This recommendation was issued by HUBER + SUHNER to customers using the technology worldwide.
Andiamo bene... Ma il problema sembrerebbe non di Ionity ma del cavo fornitole dal produttore. E' un richiamo del produttore dei cavi, certo che è una bella botta.

ma che fenomeni, per ora le han solo sparate grosse. a partire da sto 350kw che sbandierano ogni volta e che per ora non sanno neanche come poterlo gestire lato automobile senza friggere le batterie.
Man non mi risulta che sia la colonnina a gestire la carica quanto il controllo sulla vettura che dovrebbe avere un'amorevole dialogo con i moduli ionity....poi se alludi al fatto che i due si parlano senza capirsi...può essere. In tal caso ionity per sicurezza non dovrebbe dargliela (la carica).
Per non cascare nel solito urletto da fanboy ... vorrei vedere la cosa da una prospettiva diversa.
Gli errori ed i problemi capitano a tutti ... e con Tesla è sempre stato un "puntare" il dito contro ... sempre sempre e sempre.
Ionity ha problemi, Audi avrà problemi, Jaguar ha problemi, Mercedes avrà problemi ecc ecc ecc ...
Tesla però essendo l'astro nascente ... ogni problema vanno a picco le azioni ...
sì, concordo, peraltro sembrerebbe un difetto solo ad un tipo di cavo, quello a raffreddamento.
L'importante è che non si sia fatto male nessuno, se una Ditta (consorzio) seria, come è Ionity, modifica prima che capiti un incidente, si tratta e si può configurare come i giusti "richiami" delle case - e non si può che lodare l'intervento preventivo..
il progetto è interessante e innovativo, utile per la diffusione delle auto elettriche

È una tecnologia nuova, è più che normale. Ricordiamoci che se davvero riescono a far funzionare una ricarica a 350kW, ne beneficeremo tutti prima o poi.
Non tutte le stazioni sono da 350, quella in Italia no. Il cavo è molto più spesso perché è raffreddato a liquido.
La tecnologia pare nuova ma non lo è poi così tanto......in Teksid venivano già usati anni fa!!
Problema già rientrato.

IONITY High Power Chargers back on line
Munich (January 29) – In response to an urgent recommendation by HUBER+SUHNER, a supplier of
high-power charging cable technology, IONITY shut down a number of its high-powered chargers
on January 25th as a precautionary measure. This was a result of a short circuit occurring in a firstgeneration prototype plug at a test site.
In the meantime, an intensive investigation and subsequent testing in conjunction with partners and
suppliers have confirmed that the system meets both the required functionality and safety
standards.
IONITY thanks its partners for their rapid and professional response thus enabling those 20 IONITY
charging stations affected by this measure in Austria, Switzerland, France, Belgium and Denmark
(except for Aabenraa) to resume normal service.
We apologize to our customers for any inconvenience this may have caused.
